Our Mission
Seeds For Her Future supports working immigrant mothers to build new lives and livelihoods in New York City. We break down barriers like language and isolation through mentorship, community drives, and partnerships with local organizations across New York City. By planting seeds of confidence, connection, and opportunity, we help women cultivate the futures they envision for themselves, their families, and the businesses they aspire to build
About Me
My name is Cecilia Garcia, I’m a high school student living in New York, originally from Rio de Janeiro. Growing up between two cultures, I’ve seen how opportunity isn’t distributed equally, especially for immigrants and those facing language barriers. Witnessing the deep inequities in education across different regions of Brazil shaped my passion for equal access and opportunity. I founded Seeds For Her Future to support single immigrant mothers and underserved women, those who often work the hardest with the fewest resources. This isn’t just a volunteer project; it’s a response to what I’ve seen and experienced. I wanted to build something that could offer real, practical tools to women who often carry the heaviest burdens but are given the least support. Through this organization, I hope to break cycles of limitation and open doors to possibility.
